I received these in the mail last week with a shipment of beads ordered offline.
As usual, they were in the sales area of my favorite online mass supplier. They were so odd, I thought I had to buy them and try to do something with them. I like to take the odd beads no one else likes and make something beautiful out of them.
The color reminded me of this necklace I had made and given to my sister Katherine a few years ago. I like to think she wears it while cooking. Check out the blog her husband and she have.
I ended up buying two different strands of these fuzzy beads. One in a round bead and the other in a puffy heart bead. Hey, the next biggest Holiday for jewelry after Christmas is Valentine’s day and it is right around the corner. Just saying… think ahead.
I put the puffy hearts away at least until January 14th. The round ones I kept out.
I toyed with using any of the following beads as pendants.
I ended up using a single bead from the napkin ring that I purchased for re-purposing last week during a non-shopping trip.
I pulled out a pile of leftover beads from a grab bag I purchased offline from the same retailer where I bought the beads. I found the supporting pewter accent beads in this pile of goodies.
I toyed around with the layout but came back to the original idea which included using similar colored ceramic beads.
Even though the center bead ended up being heavy, the light weight of the fuzzy beads allows the piece to rest lightly about the neckline of the wearer.
The necklace measures 17 inches in length, has a toggle closure and will be in my etsy shop next week.
I plan to activate my etsy store in January. If you wish to purchase this sooner, just leave me a comment to let me know you are interested.

Pretty, but I just have to ask … does it tickle when you wear it?
Only in a good way:)
Beautiful! I am planning on making some bracelets ( never attempted before) for my daughter’s American Birthday Party. Will refer to your blog for some ideas.
Check out my hodge podge bracelets. Super easy to make (not doubting your skill at all, just giving suggestions). And you can add all kinds of fun charms for the girls. Thanks for stopping in!
